Not too
long ago I discovered Goowy and was
impressed with what it had to offer. I mean, I liked the fact that there was a
service that was essentially giving me the ability to call up a web-based
desktop with all kinds of useful resources. Not long ago, I discovered a
similar but slightly different resource called Fold.
I had heard rumors of its capabilities and have been eagerly waiting for it to
go beta.
That time has arrived. A public beta of Fold is
now online and it rocks! Even better, it prefers Firefox. Fold is a place where users can begin their excursions through the rich
content of the internet. More than just a start page, Fold allows users to
combine many of the tools and information they need (via containers) into a
primary web page. Think of it as a web-contained home base. It’s definitely
worth checking out.
